Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026.

This policy applies to taxi-milano.com and the Taxi Milano trip and transfer service. The data controller is the owner of the Taxi Milano service. You can contact the service through the contact channels on the website, including WhatsApp.

Personal data we process

When you request or book a trip, we process the information you enter in a form or give to the service: your name, telephone number, email address, pickup and destination addresses, trip date and time, selected vehicle, number of passengers, and, if provided, a flight or train number and comments. To manage and keep records of an order, we may process its reference number, related correspondence, payment status, whether payment was made in full or in advance, the amount paid and the balance due, and information needed to prepare an invoice or other order documents. If you contact Taxi Milano by telephone, email or WhatsApp, we process your contact details and the content of your message. If you use a Taxi Milano account, we also process account details and information about orders and documents available in the account. When you visit the website, the server may automatically create technical logs containing your IP address, browser and device details, the date and time of a request, pages visited and technical errors.

Purposes and legal bases

  • To respond to a request, arrange a trip, contact you, give the driver the information needed to fulfil the order, manage the order and prepare related documents. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing the contract for a transfer or ride.
  • To record payments and prepare invoices and accounting documents, and to comply with tax and other legal requirements. The legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To operate and protect the website, prevent misuse and resolve technical errors. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest.
  • To use optional cookies and similar technologies, where consent is required. You can withdraw consent through the website’s cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies needed for its functions and to remember your settings. Optional cookies, for example for analytics, are used only where the required consent has been given. You can change your choices in the website’s cookie settings. Disabling necessary cookies may affect some website functions.

Who receives data

For an order, the driver receives the information needed to contact you, arrive at the pickup location and complete the trip. Access may also be given to service providers supporting website hosting and operation, customer communications, technical maintenance and payment processing, where payment through the website is available. They receive only the information needed for their services. Data may be disclosed to public authorities when required by law. If you contact Taxi Milano through WhatsApp, the processing of data in that channel is also subject to WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy. Taxi Milano does not sell personal data.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

If a service used to operate the website or provide a requested feature transfers data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is made with safeguards required by data protection law.

How long we keep data

We keep request information for as long as needed to respond and complete the related communication. Order and account information is kept while needed to provide the trip, operate the account and resolve matters relating to the order. Invoices and accounting documents are kept for the periods required by applicable law. Technical logs are kept for as long as needed to protect the website and investigate technical errors or security incidents. Data is then deleted or anonymised unless the law requires longer retention.

Your rights

Where the law provides, you can request access to your personal data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it. You can delete personal data through your Taxi Milano account or request deletion by emailing the address shown in the website’s contact information. Some data may need to be retained where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement took place.

Data security

The controller uses technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. However, data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, the service or applicable legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date are published on this page.
